New Local History Website
by Hans Segboer
Hans says, of the work:
Images of Wanaque, Past and
Present.... "A collection of photos for the
Borough of Wanaque (Midvale and Haskell), New Jersey
with views of our people, our streets, buildings,
industry, landmarks, the railroad, and the
countryside. The site consists of photographic images,
past and present from a number of collections along
with contributions from the citizens of Wanaque. It
looks at the way of life in Wanaque from the horse and
buggy days to the present, as well as the examining
the people, the homes they lived in, where they
shopped, went to church and so on. The site has been
set up as a record of our history and the way things
used to be. Hopefully it will instill pride in the
community to our current and future residents."
