The Building Department issues permits for building, electric, plumbing, fire, and tree permits, along with appropriate inspections.

This Department also issues CCO certificates (smoke detector inspections for resale of a home).

Call this Department to log in property maintenance complaints; this office issues the appropriate notices.

Building and Zoning also accepts applications for variances, subdivisions, and site plan applications for the Planning Board and Board of Adjustment.
