The Recreation Department offers a wide variety of programs for the youth of Wanaque. These consist of:
  • Skiing
  • Summer Recreation
  • Field Hockey
  • Cheerleading
  • Basketball
  • Baseball
  • Soccer
  • Tennis
  • Wrestling
  • Softball
  • Football

 

The majority of these programs are offered to children in third through eighth grades. Registration information is sent out to the schools and registration usually takes place at the Borough Hall, 579 Ringwood Avenue. Most fees are $20.00 per child. The Recreation Commission meets on the first Wednesday of each month at Town Hall at 8:00 PM. The Recreation Commission is always looking for volunteer coaches.
